An article appeared in the London "TIMES" of the 7th of February 2005 entitled "British Tourists Blamed for Damage to Turtles' Haven" by Steve Bird and John Carr.

It refers to the activities of young British tourists and how they are threatening the survival of the loggerhead turtle in Zakynthos, Greece.

It describes the dangers faced by the turtles and, what the EC and Conservationists are trying to do to persuade the Greek Government to take action for the protection of the sea turtles of Laganas Bay.

It highlights the importance of the habitat to the survival of the Mediterranean sea turtle population.
