The UNECE Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (Aarhus Convention)

The Aarhus Convention focusses on the need for public participation in environmental activities as well as the importance of governments in providing environmental information to the public. The site provides a comprehensive insight into the agreement. 

Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)

One of the key agreements made at the 1992 Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit, the CBD aims to conserve biological diversity as well as recognising the importance of sustainable consumption and the role of genetic resources.
