New Year 'Pita' Cutting

The cutting of our traditional Greek New Year cake ('Pita'), took place on Wednesday 1st February at our Presidents home in central Athens. This annual event provides us with the rare opportunity to get together with our corporate funders, supporters, Friends, fundraising committee and Trustees to celebrate the New Year, meet one another and discuss MEDASSET matters! Mrs Kriadi and Carol McBeth were the lucky winners of the silver good luck Charms (designed, created and donated by Thanassis Akrivopoulos the painter), which they found inside their slices of New Year pita. Both Charms ended up in good hands. Mrs Kriadi of 'Publicad' was the creator of our 2005 good luck Charm and Carol McBeth the Director of the Greek Animal Welfare Fund in Greece (GAWF), is one of the longest standing and most generous supporters of MEDASSET's work.

Snow and Ice in Down Town Athens As Athens was caught up in the middle of a Siberian weather front and was frozen to an almost complete standstill, we had to postpone our musical fundraising event at the Athens Arena.

The night out to see the two famous Greek singers, Antonis Remos and Michalis Hadziyannis was rescheduled to Sunday 5th February and a great time was had by all!
