Last year’s results are published and they look very encouraging! The “Healthy Seas” Initiative created many new and valuable partnerships, which helped in collecting much higher numbers of nets, raising more awareness and bringing a larger range of recycled products to the market.
Those 110 tons of fishnets we sent to the recycling plant, would otherwise have been incinerated or even worse, continued ghostfishing for many more years, killing large numbers of animals.
